Mason Jars

So I've had this yarn laying around all knotted up, driving me crazy, it needed to be "put away" I saw this idea on Studio 5 a while ago, and need to do it with more of my ribbon but for now these two things of yarn (which I mostly use at Christmas time) have a place. NOT all tangled up.Stick em in a mason jar, I was going to just put a lid on but I didn't like the way the hole was so I made a lid out of cardboard instead... trace the lid
cut it out and punch a hole in it..
then get scrapbook paper and cut it out and mark where the hole is and punch a hole in the scrapbook paper too
then mod podge it on to the piece of cardboard...
age it with an ink pad, thread the yarn (or ribbon) through the hole and screw on the top...
paint the ring...
and done... now when I need to use it I can easily just pull it through the hole... you obviously have to untangle it and put it in the jar right in order for this to work...
