Bonco Decor

So it's been many moons since I have posted anything, we've had a super~fun, busy summer and I haven't done much anything crafty as of late. BUT, if the two of you who even check this blog are even still around, here's a little something... I hosted BONCO, yes bOnco, this "bonco" group is crazy so they call it that not the usual bUnco... anyways, it was my turn to host... my sister came as a sub and she had just had a little shin~dig at her place and had these super cute left over decorations!! So we threw them up under the patio and it made for a fabulous evening! I couldn't find my camera day of, so these pictures are not of the actual event, which I'm pretty sad about cause it looked adorable all light up and "tableclothed".... but here's an idea of the cute look!!
Cute banner and tissue balls hung all over!!

and of course the patio lights!! It was just lovely!! Nothen new and exciting but something... hopefully I'll be able to do some more projects, now that the kids will be back in school and I'll have two seconds to myself!!
Happy Day!

Patios

Well it's that time of year! We can start having backyard BBQ's and fun outdoor parties... I love spending time outdoors and love entertaining outdoors... here are some ideas on ways to make the outdoors fabulous!
::LIGHTING ::
is huge!!!
Lighting really sets the mood and makes your outdoor space welcoming, fun and so, so CUTE!!!!

martha stewart always has some good ideas on how to create a nice outdoor space...
I loved all these looks.
how great is this....??
or for a simpler version, just as cute!!! If not cuter!!
fun fabrics, add a lot too!!
and I LOVE Pergola's they can be expensive but I actually found one in our local classifieds for $100!! If I didn't already have a cute covered patio I would have snagged that in a second!!! So just a thought to check places like the classifieds for cheaper yard stuff!! I also liked these metal barrells {below} you could easily buy metal garbage cans from lowes {there about $25 bucks} you could re~create this look!!
an outdoor rug is also a great way to warm things up and pull a room together, and make it feel finished!!!

Happy Outdoor Entertaining!!!

Plants & Vines

Two more of my favorite things in my yard.... I have a vine growing out of the cement on my back patio, rather than continuing to cut it I put an old side rail of a crib out there... put it sideways and let the vine crawl upI also add a few magazines to it, when we have company over... to give them some reading material ...
and I love my flower box... if you ever want to dress up a window add a flower box to it! They are soo cute!!

Patio Ideas

Now that summer is officially here I wanted to post some of my favorite things I have on my back patio... a year or so ago I was wondering through the Tia Pan basket area and noticed they had baskets hanging from the ceiling so I copied the idea on our back patio...

I am always watering the potted plants out here so I hang multiple watering cans on one of our posts...
... and I LOVE terracotta pots in a patio/outdoor area, they just look cute in all multiples of numbers and in different sizes, they are also super cheap so its a fun, cheap way to decorate!
I also found this cute bird cage at a garage sale a couple years ago and spray painted it white ~ cute look for a patio!
Happy outdoor decorating!
